Richard Greeman

Richard Greeman (born Aug. 11, 1939 in New York City) is a Marxist scholar, he has been long active in human rights, anti-war, anti-nuke, environmental and labor struggles in the U.S., Latin America, France, and Russia. Best known for his studies and translations of the Franco-Russian novelist and revolutionary Victor Serge (1890-1947), Greeman is the author of numerous articles in English and French on international class struggles and revolutionary theory. He is author of the book, Beware of Vegetarian Sharks, which is a collection of his essays on capitalism and globalism.[1] He is one of the founders of the Praxis Research and Education Center in Moscow, and lives in Montpellier, France, where he directs the International Victor Serge Foundation.
